2023: Why Igbo Presidency Won’t Happen — Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer
Barrister Aloy Ejimakor, lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has revealed why 2023 Igbo Presidency remains a mirage.
Ejimakor stated that Igbo Presidency in 2023 won’t happen because the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the country’s main opposition political party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have redlined it.
The statement by the counsel to the IPOB leader was contained in a tweet via his personal handle on micro-blogging site, Twitter.
He said, just as the Igbos want Presidency in 2023, the Yorubas are also interested.
Ejimakor noted that it’s practically impossible for an Igbo Presidency in 2023 to happen because APC wants the Presidency to remain in the North.
He alleged that the ruling party is even eyeing Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, as its candidate in 2023.
Ejimakor also said the opposition party, PDP, has settled for Atiku Abubakar, its 2019 Presidential candidate to once again fly its flag in 2023, should he lose at the Supreme Court where his challenging President Buhari’s victory.
“#IgboPresidency2023 won’t happen because APC & PDP have redlined it. Ditto for #YorubaPresidency2023. APC insists (per El-Rufai) that It stays in the North & PDP has settled for Atiku, should he lose at the SC. It’s a LOCKDOWN but you can JAILBREAK it if you dare. Got it?,” he tweeted.
