“Onitsha Tanker Explosions A Coordinated Terror Attack By Northerners” — Nnamdi Kanu
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that the petrol tanker explosions recorded in Onitsha, the commercial hub of Anambra State, on Wednesday and Friday, is a “coordinated terror attack by the Muslim terrorist Alimajiris from Northern Nigeria.”
It would be recalled that Onitsha on Wednesday experienced a tragedy when a tanker laden with petroleum products had a break failure and reportedly rammed into a building, thereby spilling its contents which resulted to a heavy explosion.
The fire which started precisely at Upper Iweka travelled down to Ochanja market where it destroyed shops and goods. The inferno also left a woman and her child burnt to death at Ochanja.
Regrettably, barely 48 hours after the explosion at Ochanja market, another tragedy occurred after a tanker laden with fuel, fell at Omaba Phase 2, Onitsha.
Reacting to the two explosions on Twitter, via his personal handle on the micro-blogging site, @MaziNnamdiKanu, the IPOB leader described the explosions as a terrorist attack which he said was carried out “against the Judeo-Christian people of Biafra, to cripple the economic and human resource base of Biafra.”
“Another day, another fuel tanker explosion in Biafraland. What we are seeing in Omaba is a coordinated terror attack by the Muslim terrorist Alimajiris from Northern Nigeria against the Judeo-Christian people of Biafra, to cripple the economic & human resource base of Biafra,” Kanu tweeted.
