VIDEO: 50yrs After Civil War, Buhari, Other Nigerian Leaders Still Fighting Igbos — Abaribe
Lawmaker representing Abia South in the Nigerian Senate, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has accused the Nigerian government of still being at war with people of the southeast region of the country, more than fifty years after the civil war.
Speaking during a program on Channels Television, Abaribe wondered why the Federal government under Muhammadu Buhari was quick to designate the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, a terrorist organisation, whereas it has been adamant on declaring herdsmen that have destroyed several lives and properties, terrorists.
The outspoken Senator explained that it is only right to say that in the mindset of those who are presently running this country, some people are perceived as enemies.
He further expressed worry that over fifty years after the civil war, the Nigerian government has not yet come out of the war.
