NYSC DG Issues Serious Warning To Corps Members Against Unauthorised Trips
The director-general, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig-Gen, Shuaibu Ibrahim, has warned corps members against unauthorised and late night journeys.
Daily Trust reports that he gave the warning on the evening of Friday, November 30, in Benin when he visited eight corps members who were involved in an accident and are receiving treatment at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
It was gathered that the corps members were on their way to Port Harcourt from the orientation camp in Ekiti state when they had an auto crash on the Benin bypass on the night of Friday, November 30.
“I have always warned against late night travels. Please, corps members, break your journeys if it is late,” he said.
While commending the management of UBTH for taking care of the corps members, he assured that the corps was working with security agencies to ensure safety of corps members across the country.
He assured families of the corps members that they would not be abandoned.
