See Lawan’s Response After Twitter User Asked His Achievements As Senate President

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has responded to a twitter user who asked him to list his achievements since assuming office on June 11, 2019.

Lawan had shared photos of himself and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, among others, presenting a gigantic birthday card to President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.

Buhari, who clocked 77 years of age on Tuesday, received hundreds of goodwill messages from his family, friends and Nigerians at large.

Lawan said in his tweet: “Yesterday, myself and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila presented a birthday card to President Muhammadu Buhari before we proceeded to witness the presidential assent to the 2020 Appropriations Bill.”

But a twitter user, Alexander E. (@AlexanderEdetA), commented under Lawan’s tweet and asked him “What have you presented to Nigerians”

The Senate President, who rarely responds to comments on his tweets, highlighted some of his accomplishments to include the prompt passage of the 2020 Appropriations Bill and the Production Sharing Contract and the Finance Bills.

Lawan further threw the question back at the twitter user, asking “What have you given to Nigeria?”
