“If You Over Visit Someone, They Gradually Stop Valuing You” – Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, a pastor and former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has taken to social media to share his usual nuggets with his followers.

In his new post, Omokri reveals that anyone who wishes to get attention of another needs to starve the person his/her attention.

He wrote;

“The fastest way of getting people’s attention is by starving them of your own attention. Nothing increases value as much as scarcity. If you over visit someone, they gradually stop valuing you. Give them an opportunity to miss you. Become scarce! Even Christ was not properly valued by His disciples because they were seeing Him daily. It got to a point where Peter even began to rebuke Him (see Matthew 16:22). Can you imagine that! But all that changed when He was killed and resurrected. Napoleon said, “if I am seen three or four times at the theatre, people will cease to notice me”. Familiarity breeds contempt. Scarcity breeds respect. It is human nature. In fact, money is just paper. The reason why that ordinary paper is so valuable is because it is hard to see! That is why Scripture says “Seldom set foot in your neighbor’s house– too much of you, and they will hate you.”-Proverbs 25:17”
