Ihedioha Renames Jacob Zuma Road In Owerri

Emeka Ihedioha

Imo State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha has renamed the popular Jacob Zuma road in Owerri, the state capital.

The road was named after the former South African president by the immediate past governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

Okorocha had also honoured Zuma with a giant statue at the heart of Owerri, alongside other African leaders.

The road is now to be known as Mbazuluike Amaechi road, in commemoration of Amaechi’s 90th birthday.

Amaechi was 1st Republic aviation minister and is the only surviving member of the Zikist Movement, founded by Nigeria’s 1st president, Nnamdi Azikiwe.
