BREAKING: US Senate Begins Vote On Trump Impeachment Trial

The US Senate Wednesday began its historic vote on the two impeachment charges against Donald Trump, abuse of power and obstruction of justice, in a process expected to end with the president’s acquittal.

“Is the respondent, Donald John Trump, guilty or not guilty?” Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, who is presiding over the trial, somberly asked the lawmakers as the chamber began voting on the first charge.
