Parents’ Burial: Nnamdi Kanu Raises Alarm Over Army’s Alleged Plot To “Kidnap” Top IPOB Officials
Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that the Nigerian Army is planning to kidnap top officials of the group who are expected in Nigeria for his parents’ Burial.
ORIENTAL TIMES reports that Kanu’s parents, late Eze Israel Israel Okwu Kanu and his wife, Ugoeze Sally Okwu Kanu would be buried next weekend, February 14th.
Kanu in a tweet on micro-blogging platform, Twitter, on Saturday morning claimed to have received information that the Nigerian Army will launch surprise searches in hotels around Umuahia and its environs, with the intention to “kidnap” top officials of the proscribed pro-Biafra group.
“Be aware!
We received information that the Nigerian Army will launch surprise searches in hotels around Umuahia axis, they monitor most hotels hoping that top #IPOB servants may come in early before the burial date.
Stay safe & avoid being kidnapped.
