“It is very true there is no perfect human or partner out there. And if there were, they won’t want you because you are not perfect.
But one thing is for sure, we are all work in progress. When it comes to someone who doesn’t recognize their mistakes in life and think they are always right even when they are wrong, such a person will make an issue out of nothing and make important issues appear as nothing.
They are one kind of human beings who are insensitive to the needs of their partner; it’s all about them. They are selfish and lack growth.
Such kinds of people need to work on themselves and if they are not willing, they cannot be the best choice of a life partner.
It takes a man or woman who learns in life to teach, if they are not learning from their own mistakes how can they teach you how you should relate to them?
You cannot be happy with someone who sees nothing wrong with their hurtful actions and even when you complain, it feels as if you are making noise. That is not someone who loves you.
People who love you want you to be happy always and because of that, any small change about you in the relationship affects them.
They are the ones always asking about your change of mood, wanting to know if they have done anything to contribute to that. Sometimes they go a step further to even apologize when they know they are not at fault but they just want to see you happy.
These are the persons who see how problematic you can become sometimes, how difficult you become sometimes, how moody you can get but still want you in their lives; Always seeking for ways and means to help you become better.
By so doing, they bring out the best in you. They do these not because they are fools or have nothing doing but because they love and care for you.
The best you can do is appreciate them, become a better partner by accepting your mistake when you are wrong, even if you are unaware and they are able to tell you or show you.
Your response is to become sober, grateful and apologetic than being angry, selfish and arrogant towards them.
If the person you are with and studying for marriage, have the habit of not realizing their mistakes or don’t see what is wrong with their actions and words no matter how wrong and unacceptable they are, then it means such person doesn’t want to be one with you.
It is therefore best you let them go. Remember just because you love them does not give you the ability to change them.
Letting go such a relationship might be scary because life’s big changes are scary, but what is scarier is the regret that you didn’t let go when you had to.
For those of you who find it hard to accept your mistakes especially when your partner points them out to you, you are only driving away from your life people who truly love you. It takes only a truly lover or family to tell you “your mouth smells”.
They do this because they want the best for you. They can’t stand you be ridiculed.
In conclusion, “Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other’s counsel” – Proverbs 13:10 (MSG).
