He preached on the topic, “Winning the war against the plague of Coronavirus.”

The church had sent a directive , that service would hold on Sunday, 22 March despite advice by the federal government.

“Sequel to a recent directive from CAN to all Churches permitting people to be allowed to worship, services will hold at the Faith Tabernacle tomorrow, Sunday, 22nd, March, 2020.

David Oyedepo said that believers must pray against the spirit of fear, stressing that fear can attract many unpleasant realities into people’s lives.

“We must stand in the gap an destroy the snare of fear.

“Every man is a victim of his fear,” he said.

The bishop also said that Christians should realize that they are to intercede for the world, thereby provoking God’s intervention on the earth.

“Believers are called to stand in the gap for mankind,” he said.

However, the cleric said that people should return to God in repentance for help to come.

“Everybody is limited, only God is unlimited.

“Our surest help is from the Lord,” he said.

Furthermore, he said fasting and prayers have proven to be two of the practical ways to blow away evil wind, such as Coronavirus, like in Bible times.

“Some satanic resistance may require prayer and fasting to crush,” he said.

“The same way Ebola went is the way Corona will go,” he added.
