BREAKING: Ganduje Rejects Resignation Of State Revenue Boss
Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Thursday rejected the resignation of Alhaji Sani Abdulqadir Dambo, the Executive Chairman, Kano Internal Revenue Service.
A Government House sources told our reporter that the embattled revenue boss “is currently under investigation, and the resignation was a clear design to scuttle investigation.”
Alhaji Sani Abdulqadir Dambo had on Thursday resigned his appointment as Chairman, Kano Internal Revenue Service.
In a letter addressed to the governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, through the office of Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the resignation takes effect from today, Thursday.
According to the source “the Chairman of the Board of internal revenue was suspended on Wednesday, after he was issued a query by investigation panel, while the MD of KASCO was directed to take over the agency in acting capacity pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
The source, who pleaded anonymity as he can not officially speak on the issue, said Dambo purported resignation is null and void, and incompetent before the ongoing process”
Damboa was appointed to Head Tax office in 2015, and has been seen in the government circle as competent tax officer.
