Jubilation In Orji Kalu’s Hometown, Igbere As S’Court Annuls Ex-Abia Gov’s Conviction [VIDEO]

There’s currently wild jubilation in Igbere village, Bende local government in Abia State after the Supreme court annulled the conviction of former Abia governor, Orji Uzor Kalu.

Today, May 8, 2020, the Supreme court revoked the judgement that convicted and sentenced the former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, to 12 years imprisonment.

Kalu hails from Igbere where he is said to own a sprawling 400-room mansion/estate which he named ‘Camp Neya’, after his daughter.

The Supreme court, held that the Federal High Court in Lagos acted without jurisdiction when it convicted Kalu, his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited and former Director of Finance in Abia State, Jones Udeogu in a unanimous decision by a seven-man panel of Justices led by Justice Amina Augie.
