Police Seizes Over 320,000 Used Condoms Being Sold As New

Vietnam police has confiscated nearly 324,000 used condoms that were being recycled and sold by a facility in Vietnam.
Oriental Times gathered that authorities seized the items from a building in the Binh Duong province on Sept. 19, as per local newspaper Tuoi Tre on Sept 22.
Officers disclosed that the used condoms weighed about 360 kilograms in total.
They also pointed out that the contraceptives were unlabeled and unpackaged during the raid.
Following the bust, the facility’s owner, Pham Thi Thanh Ngoc, revealed that she received used condoms from an unknown person every month.
The contraceptives would then be washed, dried and reshaped with a dildo in “unhygienic conditions” before they were put on the market.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network reports that reusing condoms poses a health risk and can lead to infections.
