JUST IN: Channels Television Goes Offline As Staff Flee Lagos Office
Hours after security operatives unleashed terror on peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate, Lagos, there has been a general breakdown of law and order in the state.
Journalists and Staff of Channels Television on Wednesday ran for safety for fear of a mob attack.
According to a report by TheCable, a staff of the Television station who spoke in anonymity said he did not know the condition of the office because everyone had to flee the premises.
As at the time of filing this report, the station has gone offline.
This is the second media house under attack after TV Continental was attacked by a mob on Wednesday morning.
Tope Mark-Odigie, a TVC anchor, in an Instagram video, said the station was attacked by some hoodlums.
She said the policemen stationed in the area took to their heels on seeing the mob.
Hoodlums have unleashed attacks on Nigerians protesting against police brutality and visiting violence on security formations.
Recall that the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, imposed a 24-hour curfew on Tuesday.
