US Election: After Voting For Himself, Kanye West Floats Idea Of Running In 2024
Kanye West voted for the first time in the ongoing United States elections – and in true Kanye fashion, the rapper voted for himself.
On Twitter on November 3 (November 4, Philippine time), Kanye posted videos of his ballot, which was not filled out except for the presidential vote, where he wrote his name, and that of Christian preacher Michelle Tidball, his chosen running mate.
“Keep believing Kanye 2020 Thank you Jesus Christ,” he wrote in the caption of one video.

“The first vote of my life…we are here to serve…we pray for ever servant leader in the world,” he said in another tweet, where he shared a video of him putting his ballot in the machine.

For all his optimism, Kanye later seemed to concede his presidential run, tweeting hours after: “Welp…Kanye 2024.”
His tweet came as votes were counted and the race grew tighter between Democratic nominee Joe Biden and Republican incumbent Donald Trump.
Kanye won around 50,000 votes as an independent candidate. He announced his presidential run in July.
As of this writing, a winner has yet to emerge in the US elections, though Trump has already claimed a victory and said he would go to the Supreme Court to dispute the counting of votes.
