Aisha Yesufu Reacts To Davido’s Claim That ₦1 Billion Is Small Money

Co-convener of Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, Aisha Yesufu has spoken in reaction to the claim by Nigerian musician, David “Davido” Adeleke that $3million (N1bn) is small money for him.

The FEM crooner made this claim as a form of subtle shade at his colleague, Wizkid after he bagged a $3million endorsement deal with UBA.

Davido had tweeted that musicians should stop signing endorsement deals and work extremely hard to own parts of companies instead.

Then a Twitter user wrote;

“Davido just said f._v-ck endorsement deal because he doesn’t get proper offers from proper companies. Who would say no to a UBA deal worth $3 million?”

Davido replied;

“3 million dollars? Lmao. Something wey go finish now now Cc @icebox.”

In response, Gimba Kakanda stated that $3m is a lot of money, even to the richest person in Africa – which is Aliko Dangote

He tweeted,

“3 million dollars is a lot of money even for Dangote. The richest Blackman on the planet would sense any debit of that size. That’s about 1.4 billion naira in the parallel market today.”

Aisha came across Gimba’s tweet and decided to extensively explain the different mindsets people have when they come across huge sums of cash.

She said;

“Business people and artistes are on a different levels my brother. To Dangote go think of how to make the money work for him while David will think of how to spend the money.”
