JUST IN: I’m Not Igbo — Gov. Wike Insists [Video]
Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has for the umpteenth time stated that he is not Igbo.
Wike said this on Thursday in an interview with Ovation magazine publisher, Dele Momodu.
While answering the question if he is Igbo, the Rivers State Governor who gave a blunt reply said;
“I am not. People must understand this, we were in the eastern region and nobody can deny that fact. In the eastern region, people interpret my name as “NWA IKE” and they don’t understand the history of Wike. According to my region, my name, Wike, means a newborn baby,” he added, as the Rivers State governor gave more clarity about his name and link to Igbo.
