Imo Community Postpones Her 2021 New Yam Cultural Festival Over Insecurity, Unforseen Circumstances

Traditional ruler of Ihim Community, in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, Imo State, His Royal Highness, Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanwe (Obi Gburugburu of Ihim Land) and his cabinet members, have postponed the 2021 New Yam Cultural Festival fiesta that was scheduled to go hold on Saturday, 30th October, 2021.
In a document signed by the Traditional ruler; Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanwe, President General of Ihim Community; Mazi Gift Uzoma and the Chairman, Central Planning Committee; Everest Ezihe, says the shifting was due to unforeseen circumstances coupled with the zonal, States and National insecurity, Considering their Global contacts on Invitation.
“HRH EZE DR OLIVER C OHANWEH JP, (OBI GBURUGBURU LAND OF IHIM) and members of Eze-in-council have been constrained to postpone her IWA-JI cultural fiesta scheduled to hold on Saturday 30th October, 2021 at her WISDOM PALACE ground, IHIM in ISIALA MBANO LGA IMO STATE, till further Notice”.
“The traditional ruler;, Eze Dr. Oliver Ohanwe regrets the inconveniences the postonment might have caused our numerous invitees”, it pleads.
Recall, that gunmen invaded the Njaba Council Area of the State where monarchs were said to be having their meeting and opened fire on them killing two traditional rulers.
