Imo Gas Explosion Victim To Be Buried October, 29

The remains of the 36-year-old mother of five, Late Venus Ogbubuike that died after a domestic gas explosion accident that occurred in Owerri, will be laid to rest on Friday, October 29, 2021.
The deceased was a cashier with the Imo State Ministry of Lands, Survey & Physical Planning until death struck on October 7, 2021, five days after her gas cylinder exploded while igniting it.
The body will be buried at Dikenafai, Community in Ideato South Local Government Area of the State.
In a release signed by her husband, Mr. Ebere Donatus, disclosed that the body after being carried from the Mortuary, would make a brief stop-over at the Secretariat of the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Physical Planning in Owerri, before being for a boundary reception.
The statement added that internment follows immediately after a requiem mass as St. Mary’s Catholic Parish, Dikenafai.
A Staff of the Imo State Ministry of Agriculture, Mrs. Lois Nwachukwu, described the deceased as a nice and quiet woman.
“Venus death is shocking to me. We met same day she died. Infact, It’s like a dream to me that my bossom friend is no more.”, she sobbed.
