Police Arrest Pseudo Regina Daniels After Swindling Advertisers

A man allegedly impersonating popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has been arrested by operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command.
According to The Whistler, Richard Slyvanus’ arrest came after he allegedly defrauded unsuspecting members of the public to the tune of N1 million while impersonating the actress.
Sylvanus, a filmmaker and editor of Rich Stars Entertainment Production, allegedly created a Youtube channel and Gmail account in Regina Daniels’ name to get advertisement deals.

Investigations by the police showed that the suspect had defrauded advertisers of over one million naira, using a First Bank account number: 2033175106 and Gmail address: reginadanielsblasterjnr@gmail.com.
Daniels, through her legal representatives, Trifold Law and Partner, was said to have reported the suspect at the Metro Area Police Command in Maitama, Abuja.
She had dissociated herself and her brand from Richstar Entertainment and asked members of the public to disregard any information or transactions that do not emanate directly from her verified social platforms.
The police swung into action and arrested the suspect in Asaba, Delta State, said the police command’s spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh.
The actress said the matter was still being investigated and that the culprit would be made to face the consequences of his action.
