Suspected members of Biafra Nations League, BnL, have dismantled Police check point in Obubra, Cross River State chasing officers at the post.

The militia youths of the area numbering about 8 wearing a headwarmer bearing BnL stormed Ofubongha checkpoint at 6am today and gave the police officers a hot chase.

Report in the area gathered that the militia youths dismantled the checkpoints.

The leader of the group in Cross River Central, Joan Edim confirmed the attack.

This might be connected to the January 23 ultimatum issued to the federal government to release the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), Benjamin Onwuka of BZF and others in detention by BnL which ends on Sunday.
