How Top UBA Manager Was Murdered On His Way To Office In Abuja (Photos)
A senior manager with the United Bank of Africa, UBA, Ayoola Kayode Samuel, has been murdered, Oriental Times learnt.
Ayoola was on his way to work on Thursday, 27 January, when he was kidnapped and brutally murdered by unknown assailants.
It was learned from an eyewitness who preferred to remain anonymous that the bank manager woke up at 5am three days ago and drove out to pick his official driver before heading to the office, not knowing that he was going to meet his end.
The eyewitness said, “Kayode left his house early on Thursday at about 5:30am for work picked his driver who is about three houses to his own.
“At the end of his street on a T-junction, he was blocked by suspected assassin’s car and three people came out forcefully entered Kayode’s car and drove him and the driver away.
”Only God knew what happened inside the car. However Kayode’s body was dumped by the roadside with machete cuts. The body was soaked in blood.
The eyewitness revealed that “his body was discovered at about 7am by passers-by, who alerted the police.
According to the report, the kidnappers demanded for a ransom of N5million, even after killing Ayoola.
“The so called kidnappers/ assasins started demanding for a ransom of five million Naira even after they knew he was dead.
The demand for ransom was still on till Saturday evening, 29 January 2022,” the eyewitness said.
Police detectives were said to have intervened and begun a manhunt for the perpetrators.
