Gunmen Kill 3 Policemen In Ebonyi

Three police officers were killed in a gun attack on a police station along the Enugu-Abakaliki highway on Monday night, February 14.

The attackers opened fire on the officers who had set up a roadblock in front of the station, according to reports.

The gunmen were in a hummer bus, which the officers may have mistook for a commercial vehicle, according to a source.

The police officers’ bodies have been deposited in a mortuary.

Loveth Odah, the state’s police spokesperson, confirmed the incident but said she cannot provide details on the number of casualties until after a visit the scene.
