Diesel Now Selling For N800 Per Litre

Diesel is now selling for N800 a litre, and businesses in Nigeria are suffering as a result of the unexpected increase in price.

According to the results of a survey performed on Monday, the majority of filling stations currently charge between N600 and N700 per litre of diesel, while some on the other hand, charged N800 per litre.

A private diesel supplier who spoke to The Gazette said, “We sold at N810 this evening to some of our customers in Abuja”

“Official rate is N600 but marketers have started hoarding the products because they won’t be able to stock again at the same rate.”

Filling stations, including Amash in Nasarawa, was selling diesel at N800 per litre.

Upon further investigation, it was discovered that retailers were charging between N640 and N700 per litre at fueling stations in Lagos.

While Eso filling station in Ogijo, Ikorodu, sold at N700 per litre on Monday, Rain Oil, located near the Ojodu Berger axis of Lagos, sold at N650 per litre, with Bovas and Yerevan following closely with a pump price pf N640 per litre.

However, during the time of the poll, Eterna, Oando, Amuf oil, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) were not selling diesel.
