Prison Warders Shot Dead In Imo

Today, March 16, two officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) were killed in Okigwe town in Imo state a yet-to-be unidentified gunmen.

The officers were attached to Operation Search and Flush, a joint security task force established by the Imo state government.

The operatives were ambushed by gunmen who threw dynamite into their patrol vehicle in the Umulolo part of the town, according to sources.

Two officers were killed on the spot while others were rushed to the hospital.
