Man’s Last-Minute Decision Wins Him $1 Million Lottery Prize

Man's Last-Minute Decision Wins Him $1 Million Lottery Prize

There are times when making a seemingly insignificant adjustment to your daily routine can completely transform the rest of your life. A man in Tennessee made a spur-of-the-moment decision to purchase an additional lottery ticket, which turned out to be the winning move that allowed him to take home the top prize.

Recently, Jeff Stewart, who lives in Covington, stopped at the Murphy USA located at 1631 Highway 51 South to get some gas, and while he was there, he made the decision to play the lottery as well.

According to a press release from the Tennessee Lottery, he won $1 million after he purchased two Millionaire Jumbo Bucks instant tickets rather than just one ticket. This decision resulted in him winning the jackpot prize of $1 million.

He remarked, “I was just going to buy one, but for some reason, I decided to get two,” adding, “I still can’t believe it,” in reference to his big win.

Last week, Stewart claimed his prize in Nashville, and he was joined by his wife and brother in celebrating the enormous amount of money he had won.

However, he is not the only individual in Tennessee to win a $1 million lottery prize in the most recent drawing. David Richie, a retired TVA worker from Ooltewah, was the lucky winner of the amount during the Powerball Drawing on June 11. He claimed his prize at the Snow Hill Road Publix in Ooltewah, where he purchased his winning ticket.
