King Charles III, the new monarch: Buckingham Palace released a statement on the 8th of September confirming the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, who had reached the age of 96. She was the longest reigning monarch in the history of the United Kingdom.

Prince Charles, the eldest of the queen’s four children with her late husband, Prince Philip, will succeed the queen as monarch after her passing.

As of September 8, 2022, Charles, Prince of Wales, who is now King Charles III, is 73 years. King Charles III, also known as Charles Philip Arthur George, was born on November 14, 1948. In 1952, he became the heir, and he also held the titles of duke of Cornwall and duke of Rothesay.

Since July of that year, he has held the title of heir apparent, making him the oldest and most long-serving heir apparent in the history of the United Kingdom.

Early life of King Charles III

King Charles III was Born in Buckingham Palace, he is the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, he followed in his father’s footsteps by attending Cheam and Gordonstoun schools before continuing his education at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.

After studying Welsh at the University College of Wales in Aberystwyth during his time there, he was awarded the title of Prince of Wales in 1969, in addition to other royal titles.

He had previously attended that institution. After two and half years, Charles was finally able to take his place in the House of Lords, which is the upper house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cambridge, King Charles III spent the years 1971 until 1976 serving in the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy.

King Charles III, Personal Life, and Family

In 1981, Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer, who would later be crowned Princess of Wales, tied the knot and began their life together as husband and wife.

The couple went on to have two boys, William and Harry, who are currently the second and sixth in line to the throne, respectively. They currently hold the titles of Duke of Cambridge and Earl of Sussex, respectively.

Late in 1992, the couple reached a mutual decision to end their relationship, and roughly four years later, they were able to have their marriage annulled.

Clarence House is a royal residence of the British monarchy located on The Mall in London. Clarence House became Prince Charles and Camilla, later known as the Duchess of Cornwall, home shortly after their marriage in 2005. However, now that he is king, it is expected that they would move to Buckingham Palace.

Charles’ two sons have given him a total of five grandchildren.

In accordance with Elizabeth’s desire that Camilla is given the title of queen consort – which is bestowed upon the wife of a reigning king – Charles and Camilla, who are both be 75 years old, are also anticipated to be crowned simultaneously.
