NUEE National President; Engr. Uzoegwu Gets Chieftaincy Title

The Baptist Church Ground, Obinze, in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State, last week Saturday; October 30, 2021, came alive as friends, well-wishers, colleagues and associates as the National President, National Union of Electricity Employees(NUEE); Engr. Martin Ikechukwu Uzoegwu gathered for the ceremony his chieftaincy title conferement.
The Traditional ruler of Obinze Ancient Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Eze Aron Enyinnaya ( Eze Ukwu 1 Of Obinze Ancient Kingdom), at the ocassion, described Engr. Uzoegwu as a man whom God loves so much and had been faithful to; hence the conferement of the Chieftaincy tittle, “Nwachinemere 1 Of Obinze”, on him.
Responding, Engr. Martin Ikechukwu Uzoegwu, whose face was beaming with joy, expressed gratitude to the Traditional ruler; HRH, Eze Enyinnaya and people of Obinze Ancient Kingdom for the honour.
In his Congratulatory message, the General Secretary, National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE); Comrade Joe Ajaero, said that they are not surprised that the Obinze Ancient Kingdom identied him for such an honour- based on his commitment and sterling leadership qualities.
“Besides, the international leadership trainings he had received from the USA, Switzerland, Britain and other countries of the world, would impact positively towards the growth and development of your community,”
Meanwhile, Engr. Martin Ikechukwu Uzoegwu, has been described as a selfless man whose leadership qualities have been felt positively by the people around him.
A non-governmental organization, which bears the name; “Ala Igbo G’ ADi Mma” Sociocultural group, stated this in Owerri, Saturday, while speaking about Engr. Uzoegwu.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Nnanna Nwachukwu, in an interactive session with journalists, at the occasion, noted that he had carefully monitored NUEE National President, Engr. Uzoegwu; and realized that he has lived a life worthy of emulation in terms of effectively piloting the affair of the union and carrying everyone along in the scheme of things.
“Martin Ikechukwu Uzoegwu, has exhibited selflessness, commitment, dedication, openness, transparency, unity and sincerity of purpose in any organization he finds himself, ” Anyanwu said.
According to Anyanwu, Uzoegwu is a right leader who cares enough for his people; emphasizing that he is a man of service; experienced, passionate and God-fearing.
“I want to use this medium to appeal to appreciate the good people of Obinze Ancient Kingdom for conferring a title on this quintessential philanthropist and a leader par excellence. The National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), under his leadership has excelled”. Anyanwu said.
