Obiefule: Imo Lawmaker Suspended For Attending Okorocha’s Son In-Law Mother’s Burial Speaks

Member representing Isu State Constituency in the Imo House of Assembly, RT. Hon. (Mrs) Ngozi Obiefule, has extoled Imo Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma on completion and ongoing roads repair across the state.

Obiefule, who was among four (4) Imo lawmakers that had been on suspension by the Speaker, RT Hon. Kennedy Ibeh, for attending former Governor Rochas Okorocha In-law’s mother’s burial, last year, gave this euologies yesterday, while briefing Journalists at her house in Owerri.

She expressed satisfaction, that the funds appropriated by the State House of Assembly for construction of roads in the state were being judiciously utilized, emphasizing that many projects have been completed.

“I am impressed with the quality of work. This is first of its kind that solid work is done by present administration,

The Lawmaker noted, that the Owerri- Ekemeke Attah road, Ukwuorji road and others in Orlu and Isu have been Rehabilitated.

She further stated, that with the repairing of the roads in the State, Owerri would no longer be witnessing congestion and there commended Governor Uzodimma on work well done.

Speaking on the 2022 International Women’s Day, Isu Lawmaker urged politicians to pay attention to women in terms of political appointment and encouragement.

Obiefule advocated for 35 percent Affirmative Action for women in party administration and stressed the need for women to be given a level-playing ground in politics.

“I want to use this medium to wife of the Governor, Chioma Uzodimma for ensuring that women are carried along in the present and congratulated them.

Rt. Hon. Obiefule who also reacted on speculations from diverse quarters that she wants to contest for House of Representatives in the coming election, debunked the insinuations, saying that she has not declared interest to run.
