Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Gives First Look At Okoye & Shuri

Following several years of preparation, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is almost ready to be released in theatres. Fans are eager to see how the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel will continue Wakanda’s history, especially in light of the tragic death of T’Challa actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020.
Though the first trailer for the film is not scheduled to be released anytime soon, new official promotional photographs for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever provide us with our first glance at Okoye and Shuri. Both Danai Gurira and Letitia Wright will be returning to their respective roles in the next Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. The storyline for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is directed by Ryan Coogler is currently unknown; nevertheless, it is highly possible that the film will pay tribute to Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa following the actor’s untimely death in 2020.
The arrival of promotional materials for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever might be seen as an indication of how close we are getting to the release date of the movie. This includes some promotional pictures from Sprite (via Black Panther 2 News) that reveal Okoye and Shuri for the very first time. While the leader of the Dora Milaje is decked out in her ornate combat garb, the Wakandan princess is wearing a purple top with long sleeves and a high collar.

Shuri is the only one of the two that has a new look. She is still quite fashionable, but the most striking change is her new hairdo: instead of her usual long locks, she has opted for a shorter, curlier hairstyle. Additionally, it looks like the princess is sporting a new tattoo, although it is not apparent what the meaning of the design is. On the other hand, Okoye seems to have not changed at all, as there are no obvious differences between her present look and the previous one. Sadly, these photographs don’t provide much new information or context regarding what will happen in the upcoming sequel.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Synopsis
While Okoye’s outfit and general appearance haven’t changed, Shuri’s has seen a profound shift from what fans have seen her in past movies. Although it has been speculated that Shuri, T’Challa’s sister in the film, will take up the baton as the next superhero, it is unclear whether this is an entirely new outfit or merely a choice that is now fashionable.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Cast
Ryan Coogler will direct the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which is based on a screenplay that he and Joe Robert Cole co-wrote. The majority of the original cast members have been confirmed to return, including Lupita Nyong’o in the role of Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, and Winston Duke as M’Baku.
More details
It is believed that Tenoch Huerta, who starred in the Netflix series Narcos: Mexico, will portray the antagonist in the upcoming movie, with some fans and media sites speculating that he may play Namor. It would appear that Michaela Coel, the creator and star of the comedy-drama series I May Destroy You, has also agreed to participate in an undisclosed capacity.
The film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 11, 2022, more than two years after the untimely death of Black Panther’s protagonist and actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away at the age of 43 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
