How to Prevent Criminals From Withdrawing Money From Your Accounts After Losing Your Phone – Police PRO

The Delta state police command Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, has educated Nigerians on how to stop criminals from transferring money from their accounts after their phones have been stolen.

In a series of tweets, Edafe advised people to activate ‘sim pin’ on their phones as this will prevent criminals from making transfers from their accounts when phones have been stolen.

“Please ensure you activate a sim pin on your phone, should you loose your handset to criminals, they won’t be able to access your SIM card and withdraw money from your account. Sim pin is very important, if you don’t have your sim pack, pls meet your service provider.”

“People complain that they loose their phones and the criminals starts withdrawing money from their account. They do not need your phone to access your money, they can simply remove your SIM card and insert on another phone, then boom!!! Your money goes. This is most important pls.”
