Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos has reacted to the injury Liverpool star, Mohamed Salah sustained during their UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.

The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah came off in tears half an hour into Liverpool’s 3-1 defeat in Kiev on Saturday, having hurt his shoulder under a challenge from the Spaniard skipper.

Ramos reacting to the injury after the game, wished Salah speedy recovery, while maintaining that situations like that are recurrent in the game of football.

Ramos went on Twitter after his side sealed their third consecutive Champions League, saying he hoped Salah could make a quick return. He wrote;

“Sometimes football shows you it’s good side and other times, the bad.

“Above all, we are fellow pros. Prompt recovery, Salah. The future awaits you.”

Walsh international, Gareth Bale was the hero of the day as he came off the bench to net a brace after Sadio Mane cancelled out Karim Benzema first strike to hand Madrid a third successive Champions League crown.

Liverpool Goalkeeper, Loris Karius also had a night to forget as he made two high profile howlers which led to goals in the showpiece. Early in the second half, Karius gave the ball away to Benzema, who tucked home to score the first goal of the game.

In the dying moments of the game, and with the scores at 2-1, Karius parried a speculative Bale shot into the net.

It was Ramos’ fourth European crown in total.
