Killings: Buhari Executor Of Pogrom, Chief Sponsor Of Fulani Militias – Tiv Youths

The Tiv Youths Organisation (TYO) has said if indeed the recent killings in the country is being perpetrated by politicians, then President Muhammadu Buhari is the number one culprit.

It could be recalled that the Presidency had attributed the killings to those it described as desperate politicians, adding it had proof.

But speaking with newsmen in Makurdi, Timothy Hembaor, the TYO President said it also wants to believe that “Indeed, politicians are certainly behind the pogrom.”

He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari is a politician, Fulani man and patron of various Miyetti Allah groups. He is also the Commander-in-chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces and chairman of the National Security Council. No wonder, the security agencies have taken sides with the Fulani militia against defenceless and innocent Nigerians.

“Yes, politicians are behind the killings in the country and President Buhari is in the frontline, chief sponsor and executor of the pogrom in favour of his Fulani ethnic group.

“We call on Nigerians to realise and recognise President Buhari as number one politician in the country today and as such treat him as their enemy who is exterminating them and rise up to resist him in all ramifications.”

Hembaor also noted that the Presidency, security chiefs as well as aides to the president have been bending backwards to change the known facts.

According to him, “The other day, President Muhammadu Buhari was in London with the Archbishop of Canterbury. At that meeting, he attributed the on going conquest and occupation of territories in Nigeria by herdsmen militia to Libyan mercenaries.

“At another occasion, his Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali said the blocking of cattle routes and grazing reserves was justification for the pogrom.”

“Yet, several others attribute the ongoing ethnic cleansing and Jihad to the enactment of anti-Open grazing laws.

“The most recent and perhaps, the most bizarre is the claim that proof and evidence have emerged that politicians were sponsoring killings across the country.”

Despite, the fact that leaders of Fulani groups have come out to state that cattle rustling is the reason for the killings, he observed that now the Presidency is blaming politicians for the killings.

Hembaor argued that “Before he (Buhari) blamed politicians for sponsoring killings, Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, attributed the massacres to climate change and the drying up of the Lake Chad.

“All these changing narratives are cover up for the wanton massacre and land grabbing campaign of the Fulanis.

“But all know that the killings are a simple and straight forward story – the conquest and occupation of fertile lands in Nigeria through a scorched earth policy.”

The TYO President further stated that one of the most worrisome is that “Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina came out and stated, “give up your land for ranches or face death.”

He therefore called on “Nigerians to realise and recognise President Buhari as number one politician in the country today and as such treat him as their enemy who is exterminating them and rise up to resist him in all ramifications.”
