Recall that the IGP had last week summoned him for clarification over an issues bordering on false and malicious publications.
In a letter dated August 20, 2018, the Police asked the former Minister to appear before SP Usman Garba over ‘conspiracy, criminal defamation, inciting publication, injurious falsehood and conduct likely to cause breach of peace’ .
But, the PDP chieftain who reported to the IGP’s office at 12noon on Tuesday said he was invited because of his essay about Fulani hegemony and terrorism.
In a tweet, he wrote: “Left the IGP’s office after a cordial interview. Police were courteous and professional. I was invited because of my essay titled “Five Useful Idiots and The Spirit Of The Accursed Slave” which was about Fulani hegemony and terrorism.
”No regrets. I will hit harder and write more.
”Thanks to all those that accompanied me to the Police Headquaeters this morning. May God bless you all. ”
