BREAKING: Court Nullifies Madumere’s Impeachment As Imo Deputy Gov
A federal high court sitting in Owerri, earlier today nullified the impeachment of Imo deputy governor Eze Madumere.
The embattled deputy governor was impeached by the state house of Assembly over allegations bothering on gross misconduct, ORIENTAL TIMES recalls.
Governor Rochas Okorocha has constantly denied having anything to do with Madumere’s political travails despite clear showings that the two are no longer in good terms.
A court order had also in July this year, prevented Okorocha from swearing in Calistus Ekenze as Madumere’s replacement.
