JUST IN: Drama As EFCC Attempts To Arrest Fani-Kayode For Accompanying Fayose

In what seemed to be a mild drama, the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) attempted to arrest former minister of Aviation for accompanying the out-gone governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose to its premises, at Tunde Idiagbon House, the former head office of the commission.

The Former minister claimed that he had practiced in Nigeria after bagging a LL.B from the School of Oriental and African Studies and a Masters degree from Cambridge University.

The claims that he was a qualified legal practitioner to represent the former governor prompted the operatives of the commission to let him in.

While going in, Fani-Kayode joked with the EFCC operatives that he ought to be allowed unto the premises at any time having spent 90 non-consecutive days in the custody of the commission in 2016.

“I am a regular customer here. You should know me by now,” he joked.

Fayose legal representative, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), was also accommpanyed by two lawyers from his chamber.

ORIENTAL TIMES understands that the former governor of Ekiti State, had visited the head office of EFCC in accordance with the letter he wrote to the commission, promising to do so on the day he will be handing over power to his successor.
