Why I Will Never Forgive Barack Obama — Trump
President Donald Trump said during a Friday morning press conference he would “never forgive” his predecessor Barack Obama “for what he did to our military.”
Trump claimed that the former president made the United States “very unsafe” for Americans.
Trump brought the topic up out of the blue in response to a reporter’s question about former first lady Michelle Obama’s book that is critical of him.
“Oh, Michelle Obama said that? I haven’t seen it. I guess she wrote a book, she got paid a lot of money to write a book and they always insist that you come up with controversial…” Trump said.
“Well, I’ll give you some controversy back,” Trump said, referring to Barack Obama. “I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our United States military by not funding it properly. It was depleted. Everything was old and tired and I came in and I had to fix it and I am in the process of spending tremendous amounts of money.”
Trump continued: “So I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our military, I’ll never forgive him for what he did in many other ways which I’ll talk to you about in the future.”
The president reiterated his point again before moving on to the next question.
“What he did to our military made this country very unsafe for you and you and you,” Trump said, pointing at reporters.
