Buhari Appoints Justice Musa Abaji As New Justice Of Supreme Court
President Muhammadu Buhari has, on Wednesday, named Justice Musa Abaji as a new Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Dr. Bukola Saraki made this known in while reading letters from President Buhari during plenary.
In one of the letters, the President said the appointment of Justice Abaji was according to the advice of the National Judicial Council.
“In line with the1999 constitution upon the advice of the National Judicial Council, I hereby refer for confirmation the appointment of Justice Musa Abaji as the Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
“While hoping that this is expeditiously considered by the Senate, accept the assurances of my highest regard,” the letter read.

African Union Heads of State and Government have observed a minutes’s silence in the memory of late Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday during the 28th ordinary session of AU Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
During the official opening session of the AU Summit, Chadian President Idriss Deby Itno, the incumbent AU President, invited the African leaders to ovserve a minute’s silence in the memory of “our late brother,” the NIgeria President Muhammadu Buhari.
African leaders have gathered in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, to attend the Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union(AU).
The Summit, which is to take place from 30th to 31st January, will be preceded by a meeting of the Executive Council.
