Ex-SGF Lawal Distances Self From Aso Villa Impostor

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Mr Babachir Lawal has distanced himself from purported statement by one alleged imposter, Amina Mohammed that he was involved in her scams for which she was paraded by Directorate of State Services (DSS) in Abuja, recently.
Lawal in a statement in Yola, Adamawa State capital yesterday, explained that, the alleged confessional statement by the suspect (Amina), was a desperate effort, to shield herself from the consequences of her actions.
The statement noted that, Lawal don’t know the said Amina Mohammed or any of her accomplices much less involved in the activities, she is being accused of committing.
Lawal had also instructed his lawyers to institute appropriate legal action against Amina and any person(s) involved as the matter has caused him and members of his family considerable embarrassment.
“My attention has been drawn to an alleged confessional statement made by one Amina Mohammed who was paraded together with several other persons recently by DSS operatives in connection with some criminal offences.
“The said suspect in a desperate effort to shield herself from the consequences of her actions mentioned my name and that of the First Lady, Mrs. Aisha Buhari as co-conspirators in the alleged crimes.
“I do not know and have never had any dealings whatsoever with the said Amina Mohammed or any of her partners in crime. I also do not know one Mariam said to be a sister to Mrs. Buhari or anyone called Chicason whom she also mentioned.”
“I have never been interested in property business and have no dealings with the sale of federal government properties anywhere in Nigeria.
“The said publication has caused me and members of my family considerable embarrassment as intended by the said Amina and her sponsors.
“I have instructed my lawyers on the matter to in due course institute appropriate legal action against Amina and any persons involved if the offending statement is not publicly retracted with an apology.”
He urge the general public to be rest assured that, the said statement is malicious and false and to discountenance same.
