Stop Undermining Our Democracy, Tambuwal Attacks Buhari
The Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari not to undermine our democracy by respecting rule of law of the separation of power among the three tiers of government.
Tambuwal was reacting to a report that the Chief Justice of the federation, CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen will be arranged on Monday by Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT on assets declaration charges.
The Governor, who was speaking in Bodinga during the PDP Gubernatorial campaign in the zone on Saturday. According to Tambuwal, ” I pray and hope and wish that what I read online today is not true, that they are trying to give CJN the Bukola Saraki treatment.

“I am appealing to president Muhammadu Buhari to steer clear of it. I believe whatever it is the CJN should be given a fair hearing.
”I believe this is why APC is worried that they will lose the election, reasons why the president refuse to sign the electoral act as passed by the National Assembly recently”
”President Buhari is only trying to truncate our democracy. He should be honourable enough to accept defeat” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Governor has reassured the citizens of the state that if given the second chance, he will improve on the educational sector where the remaining out of school children in the state will return to school.
He said, ”we are working on provisions of water to every local government in the state with one million cubics of water.
”We would continue to support our farmers with fertilizers and other farm inputs that will even better than that of the federal government” he disclosed.
