EFCC Arrests Former Jigawa Gov, Turaki

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Senator Saminu Turaki, a former governor of Jigawa state.

Operatives of the commission reportedly picked him up in Abuja on Tuesday.

Turaki had been declared wanted by the EFCC in 2014 for allegedly failing to present himself for trial on corruption charges since 2011.

Corruption charges had been filed against him at the Federal High Court in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital.
