I’ll Work Harder This Time — Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari who has been reelected as Nigeria’s president has promised Nigerians that he would work harder in this his second term.
President Buhari made the promise in Abuja on Wednesday when he received the Arewa Consultative Forum at the Presidential Villa.
The group who paid him a congratulatory visit said they visited to congratulate him and to urge him to continue with the good work that he has been doing for the country.
The AREWA group was led by its Board of Trustees Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Fika.
President Buhari who received the group said this second term is his last lap in office as president.
He also promised not to let Nigerians down.
According to him, “This is my last lap, I will try to work harder. I assure you, I will not let you down.”
President Buhari won his reelection bid under the All Progressives Congress, APC, party by polling 15,191,847 to defeat his major opponent, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 11,262,978 votes.
