Buhari To Swear In Ministers-Designate Aug 21
President Muhammadu Buhari has set Wednesday, August 21, 2019, to swear in Ministers-Designate.
This was contained in a terse statement issued on micro-blogging site, Twitter, by the Presidency on Tuesday, August 6.
ORIENTAL TIMES understands that the President will swear in the Ministers-Designate at the State House in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
“The Ministers-Designate will be sworn in by President @MBuhari on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the State House,” the tweet read.
It would be recalled that the President had approved August 15-16, 2019 for the convening of an induction retreat for Ministers-Designate.
The induction retreat would hold at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja.
Meanwhile, the swearing-in of the Ministers-Designate will be coming after the Nigerian Senate confirmed the nomination of all the 43 ministerial nominees sent by President Buhari.
The confirmation of the ministerial nominees followed the conclusion of the confirmation hearing which began on the 24th of July 2019.
