Xenophobia: Basketmouth Cancels Show In South Africa

Basketmouth, popular Nigerian comedian has taken his stand on the renewed xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.

The comedian stated on his Instagram handle that he has turned down his invitation in South Africa to perform at the upcoming Comic Choice Award schedule for this weekend.

According to him: “It might sound like a whisper but together our voices and the right actions will hopefully make a true difference.”

ORIENTAL TIMES recalls that Tiwa Savage had earlier cancelled her performance at upcoming DSTV Delicious Festival, Johannesburg, South Africa.

She posted on her twitter handle: “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September,”

My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
