BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu’s Mother Is Dead [VIDEO]
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has announced the death of his mother, Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu.
ORIENTAL TIMES understands that Ugoeze Kanu passed on in faraway Germany on August 30, 2019.
Kanu who described her mother as loving, caring and compassionate said she died as a result of the trauma she faced when Nigerian soldiers stormed their Afaraukwu home in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State on September 14, 2017 during the Operation Python Dance exercise.
The IPOB leader revealed that her mother seeing how the soldiers allegedly slaughtered people in their compound got traumatised and took ill which unfortunately she never recovered from.
Kanu made the announcement on Sunday in a video he posted on his Facebook page.
He however stated that Biafra remains the most critical and important thing, adding that his mother has been sacrificed to ensure it becomes a reality.
Kanu also reminded his members that the only way to respect and honour the memory of her late mother is to make sure a Republic of Biafra is actualized.
“Today I announce the passing of my mother Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Kanu. May Chukwu Okike Abiama grant her eternal rest,” Kanu wrote.
