Liverpool Beat Salzburg 2-0 To Reach Champions League Last 16

Liverpool booked their place in the Champions League last 16 after earning a hard-fought 2-0 win at RB Salzburg on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men just had to avoid defeat in Austria to progress and after a tough opening period they cruised through after two goals in as many minutes from Naby Keita and Mo Salah.

Keita headed home a teasing Sadio Mane cross in the 57th minute and just a minute later Salah curled home a lovely strike from 20 yards to seal the win.

The Reds qualify top of the group, with Napoli also through after they thrashed Genk 4-0.
