Nnamdi Kanu: The Young Man That Started A Revolution In Nigeria | By Omololu Omotosho

Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Leader

Nigeria is at a crossroads. The Nigerian elite needs to come together and choose a path of peace, reconciliation, and honesty. Nnamdi Kanu of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) came from almost obscurity to the point of leading a reawakening of the consciousness of his followers within the Indigenous People of Biafra and Nigerians worldwide.

The viral video being circulated on social media of supposed IPOB members that are also Nigerian citizens being humiliated, dehumanized, tortured, and one person seemingly found dead is sad and sickening. I condemn this act unequivocally; this is the 21st century and agitators that have not being found guilty as breaking any known laws in the court should not be treated as enemy combatants within the great country of Nigeria.

Diplomacy and restraint on the side of government should be used to de-escalate the tension in the southeastern part of Nigeria and let proceedings that will ensure a more inclusive and peaceful Nigeria begin immediately. We love Nigeria!

Let’s remain peaceful for now, Anambra election is around the corner, getting solid and reliable allies should be our focus for now, yes they are killing us but it’s still early to pick up arms, remember once we militarize there will be no going back, picking up arms shouldn’t be about AK 47, remember the army have tanks all over the place, RPG’s, bombs and grenades must be at disposal, don’t forget they will come through the air, any military aircraft that trespasses on our airspace should be gunned down, the whole place should be littered with arms and ammunitions for people to protect themselves, it’s going to be expensive. if we can’t do it right let’s wait Cus it ll be suicidal to fail on a mission like this.
We failed in 1967 because we rushed into it, let’s take our time, go about our normal businesses while we restrategize,we must plan well this time around so as to get it right.
God bless the land of the rising sun.

Our Constitution provides for freedom of association, peaceful assembly and expression, right to dignity of human person, right to fair hearing, freedom of thought, conscience and religion, as well as fundamental right to life in Sections 33, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, &41 of the 1999 fraudulent Constitution respectively. Nigeria is also signatory to Article 20 of the African Charter on Human Rights which specifically provides for a peoples right to self determination.
Accordingly, it is not out of place for Nigerians to agitate for self determination based on the above laws & Charter , including the United Nations Charter on Human Rights since our own government is a Party to these Resolutions.
