Anambra Guber: INEC Speaks Ahead Of Final Announcement

mahmood yakubu inec

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stated that it will remain vigilant in collation of results until the announcement of the final result and winner of the Anambra governorship election.

INEC Director of Publicity and Voter Education, Mr Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi told newsmen on Saturday that the commission would continue to ensure that all the processes of the election went down well.

“Election can be manipulated at any stage, so we have to be vigilant until the final result is collated and the winner is announced by the commission.

“The collation of result from the units to the state level is on going. Until the final result is announced, INEC remains vigilant to ensure that the people’s votes count.

“So we are still vigilant at every stage,” Osaze-Uzzi said.

He assured that all votes cast would be properly recorded, transmitted and collated at the end of the day.

On the general assessment of the election, Osaze-Uzzi said the voting process was generally peaceful and was in accordance with plan, except for the late commencement of poll in some few units.

“Generally the election has been peaceful and we are very happy. The turnout look to me better than the last two previous governorship elections,”‎ he said.

On the allegation that there was no election at Okpoko in Ogbaru and Umudim in Nnewi North council areas, Osaze-Uzzi said the matter was also being investigated by the commission with a view to finding appropriate solution to the problem.

“It is being investigated and I think it has to do with late arrival or shortage of materials.

“The matter was resolved but a bit late. The community was saying we should reschedule the election in the affected unit to tomorrow, but we are looking at the best option,” he added.

After going through many comments and write ups concerning yesterday’s Anambra State guber election and IPOB’s Boycott slogan, i have come to the conclusion that many people even so acclaimed elites don’t even know the meaning of ELECTION BOYCOTT as IPOB maintained, election boycott is not election disruption or disturbance. Of course INEC will come with their election materials, contestants and their loyalist, families, party member and the little gullible ones they bought with plate of rice and a piece of meat will actually vote for them. Have you asked yourself or take a research of the total number of accredited voters, valid, void and invalid votes/voters in the last four years Anambra guber election compared to yesterday’s guber election???, can’t you see that instead of number of accredited voters to go high this year, it reduced so drastically that even all the candidates cried and are still crying of a very low turnout, the very worst of elections since 1999…..below is one typical example of election boycott as maintained by IPOB……………………….
    Awada Obosi, comprehensive unit 065
    APC: 11
    UPP:8
    APGA : 36
    PPA:1
    INVALID :1
    Total Registered voters 825
Total number of people who boycotted the election is 768.
#BIAFRAWON…………….The sheep listened to the voice of the good shepherd.
    Radio Biafra..
HAVE YOU DONE THE MATHS YET?
Minus 7, 000 from 2.5 million, then you will begin to appreciate the scale of the boycott and the humiliation IPOB inflicted on the Zoo yesterday. That translates into 99.99‰ of those that complied with the order to sit at home.
In Anambra State there are 2.5 million registered voters according to INEC. From official figures so far collated from polling booths of where family members of the main contenders voted along with their party officials, the total came to about 7,000 votes cast in total. Imagine what we will do to the Zoo in 2019 Presidential Elections murder!!!
