BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu Orders Religious Centres To Open

The Lagos State Government has asked churches and mosque to reopen from August 7.

This order came from the state Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday.

“Places of worship in Lagos will now be opened from Friday, the 7th of August for our Muslim worshippers, and on Sunday, the 9th of August for our Christian worshippers”, he said during a briefing.

Worship centres had been shut in the state since March as part of measures to curtail the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.

The Presidential Task Force had relaxed the ban on churches and mosques in the country but the State insisted that worship centres remained shut.
